ABOUT US Our company’s goal and motto for each project is - “we do it right the first time at a reasonable cost”. We constantly strive to do the best quality work we're capable of, and complete jobs in a timely manner until our client is assured that we’ve met all of our contractual obligations to their satisfaction. We have the capabilities of finishing a project to whatever scale of quality that our clients request, or whatever economy their budget dictates. This post Katrina world of contracting has challenged homeowners and contractors alike. We help soften the impact of the stress this process can create by offering very detailed “scope of work” estimates and contracts, with the goal of reducing “unforeseen extras” and “change orders”. Our owner, Steve Wobbema, was born and raised on a farm in South Dakota. His Father, Uncle and Grandfather were all in the bridge building business. Steve worked with them every summer from his freshman year in High School to his 2nd year in college. Other collegiate summer jobs included carpentry, painting, roofing and concrete work. After graduating from college (accounting degree), Steve moved to Colorado and worked in the construction business there with his own Handyman company, and assisted in the building of 43 town homes in the foothills of Boulder. In 2004, Steve purchased Quality Home Repair, Inc., a local New Orleans construction firm that had been in business for quite some time. In January 2005, the name was changed to, and registered as, Quality Home Repair of LA, LLC. Since 2002, he was also involved as a partner in Utah Beach Development, LLC, which developed and sold 40 residential lots at Nine Mile Point on the West Bank. In addition, he is managing member of Fair Haven Development, LLC, which was formed after Katrina for the purpose of buying and renovating homes. His wife, Toddy, was born and raised in New Orleans. She publishes the Senior Resource Guide of the Greater New Orleans Area, and the Senior Resource Guide of Baton Rouge. Other credentials include:
